Finally I have found some time to build one of two of these Bugeye Sprite cars I’ve had for 6 years now.
Just started the frame yesterday. Got all the parts ordered from Professor Motor.
I plan to build it to the scheme I found on the net. BRG is a must and Minilites. Wide tires, a bit of flare.
I owed a Bugeye for many years wish I had never sold it. Out of all the British sports cars I have owed this one broke down the least.

I also found this great video to inspire me.
Cool!
Ha! I thought you were building a full size car there for a minute. Still, even a miniature is cool, especially when it’s you doing the build. 🙂
Over here in the UK, the Austin-Healy Frogeye sprite evolved in to the MG Midget. A friend of mine restored one. They offered the 1600 Triumph engine from the Spitfire after BMC and Triumph merged, to replace the A-series, which was only available up to 1275. the irony is, the 1375 could be tuned to put out more than the relatively untunable Triumph.
