Looking at pictures on my blog

If you want to see a larger image and zoom in on any picture posted here you merely need to right click on the image and open in a new window or tab. I just discovered this myself.

But you need to click on the posts “Title” to open the post first or it won’t work.

DLG Raven

My first Discus Launched Glider arrived this week and I quickly put it together. Hobbyking is really a class act. I ordered on Monday and it arrived Wednesday.

This model is so well made, carbon fiber boom, balsa built wings cover in Oracoat, servos installed there wasn’t much to do except add the RX, BEC and Battery. All up weight, 6.70 oz. with a 38 inch wing span. Pretty amazing. The slightest toss and it floats.

Here’s some pictures. Will test fly today weather permitting.

I’d Rather Be Flying

As Adam would say, “I reject your reality and substitute my own”. I just ordered one of these and it’s inbound from China. This is a wonderful way to spend your day and why I love model aviation so much.

“But Something is There”

This is honest. These things happened to me. I don’t believe it. In fact I don’t believe in anything. I either know something or I don’t.

It was on YouTube and was taken down but before that happened it was well on it’s way to being viral. Evidently a piece of music wasn’t PD or so the BOTS thought.

I am tired of YouTube and it’s trolls and BOTS as much as I am of Facebook.

It’s on my paid Vimeo account. Mush better quality and no pop ups or ads.

I never made this to make money or fame. Just to tell my story.

Please watch it on the big screen with good sound. It has quiet sounds, low heartbeats and breathing you will never hear on your phone, ipad or laptop not unless you are wearing headphones.

Enjoy.

Big Sinbad

I’m standing right behind it. It’s that big. Now the fun stuff begins, finishing, electronics and fabric covering.

Fun stuff

Yesterday I went and visited my old friend Larry Cohen. He’s a film director of many movies over the years. Look him up on google. I worked on 6 of his films.

It was great to see him and he gave me some of my old relics from my past work for him. Although in a poor condition they weren’t too bad for foam rubber effects heads from 40 years ago that were stored in his closet.

In addition to that I have been working on my very large Sinbad radio controlled glider.

My other flying project is an old project I did in 2003. I have in the past scratch built many X-1 models and flown them. The X-1 was the plane Chuck Yeager broke the sound barrier with in 1947.

I made several kits of this plane and built and kept one for myself. It was covered in dust and dirt. It was never flown and was just a display model. I have decided to fly it and will be install a motor and servos.

The Mig has been flying and is back on the table for maintenance after it’s last sortie.

All fun stuff.
