Star Trek 50 years ago today

Today is the actual 50th anniversary of the day that Star Trek aired. Everyone is posting. Everyone posting is shearing their contributions to the show or involvement in it. Their pride of being part of it on any level from the smallest to largest contribution. And well they should be. It is something to be very proud of. I know I am. I played my part too.

For me I celebrate Gene’s vision, his message, and one the world very much needs to remember right now.

Gene served in WW2 as a pilot and flew many missions over Germany. He saw as so much war and death during this time. It is this experience that caused him to envision a future where we put our differences aside in peace to explore our universe.

One people, one race, one planet, that explores strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no one has gone before.

As fans, workers, or both of our beloved Star Trek we need to remember his message and help effect it as best we can in this troubled world.

We can Make Star Trek a reality. It starts with each one of us. “Make it So”.
