Subs and schooners

The X51 midget submarine is really coming along. It won’t be too long before it hits the water for testing. Like wise so is my scratch built schooner.

Back to Star Trek Sirius

Back at “Star Trek Sirius”. I said I’d get a shot off or two a week and I am. Here’s a frame grab of the USS Drexler as it’ seen at the beginning of the show before we see the distress call from the Doug Drexler guy himself. Lots of fun! And more to come!

I’m finishing this myself!

Its official. Steve finishes all the effects himself on this unfinished 5 year old fun fan film project Gillian Neill wrote before she passed away from cancer in 2013. I have horse  power and the machines to do it. And I know how. A shot a week between all the other film making duties I have but it will be finished.

Chris I’ll need that Sirius model. 😉

Starting a new RC sub

Building this WW2 British X-51 midget submarine radio controlled model for a client. Drilled and filed out many drains and liber holes. Start to attach dive planes and prop shaft. Great build From http://www.otwdesigns.com

Star Trek 50 years ago today

Today is the actual 50th anniversary of the day that Star Trek aired. Everyone is posting. Everyone posting is shearing their contributions to the show or involvement in it. Their pride of being part of it on any level from the smallest to largest contribution. And well they should be. It is something to be very proud of. I know I am. I played my part too.

For me I celebrate Gene’s vision, his message, and one the world very much needs to remember right now.

Gene served in WW2 as a pilot and flew many missions over Germany. He saw as so much war and death during this time. It is this experience that caused him to envision a future where we put our differences aside in peace to explore our universe.

One people, one race, one planet, that explores strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no one has gone before.

As fans, workers, or both of our beloved Star Trek we need to remember his message and help effect it as best we can in this troubled world.

We can Make Star Trek a reality. It starts with each one of us. “Make it So”.
