All the decals are on top side. I did a lot more painting and blending but always this iPhone over contrasts it, not how it really looks in person. As you can see it looks different in different lighting.
Tomorrow I will finish the under side and add more detail to the nacelles and call it done. Over the weekend I’ll cut the video of the entire build in one show. Should be interesting seeing it from out of the box to finished. I have a custom base for it inbound but it won’t get here in time for the cut video I need to get that video to my very patience subscribers but will have it in the weekly show once I get it.
Pretty amazing job – that’s one worn out starship. As much as I love CG you can’t beat a well done physical model. Guess I’m old school.
Have you tried adjusting the iPhone exposure to see how the picture may improve?
The paint job looks fantastic. π
One thing that cracks me up on this model are the details that are inset that were raised on the studio model. (both versions had them raised) But, it’s still an awesome model. π
I will try the exposure setting if I can find it or just use a real camera. I have plenty. But that’s for the comments and yes Chris you are right on that and I could fix that but I’m on a deadline to finish and always prefer to build out of the box. I like it too.mits cool no matter what.
