A busy day on Monday. Lots of different stuff done. Another pass on he Cooper body. Eliot Brown sends us more cool stuff. Folding shuttles, this corrugated brass for nacelles, rain Burke chairs and brass bases for them.
Started our own ” Star Trek the Motion Picture” Kirk space suit puppet.
Lastly sculpted or shaped a balsa plug for the Skyray restoration. Then I made a mold of the balsa plug so I could cast it in stone in order to completely smooth the form to a glassy surface. Tomorrow I will dry the form out in the curing oven and sand it super smooth and remove all the flaws after which I can then vacuum form the canopy.
Slot car body looks great Steve. Don’t drive yourself crazy with it though. Remember those things were hand pounded so none of them were 100% perfect.
Russ thanks so much for your comment. I was wondering about that very thing as in all the pictures of the different T73s I’ve seen they all look a little different.
Steve
I’m loving everything, but the little Burke chair literally made my day. đŸ˜€
