SPECIAL – MOVIE SHOOT 3-29
SNG Weekly -32 – Gallactica
SNG Pictures 3-26-15
Got the landing bay closed temporarily. Re did the landing strip and lights. this time i printed them off on plain paper and used aluminium tape to back it to block light, then punch holes with a pin over cardboard.
Just with clamps on the top and bottom fits so clean and there’s no light leaking between the seams.
Next light block it, paint it and close. Most of the day was spent cutting this weeks “SNG Weekly”. Tomorrow we shoot the end of our movie. Green screen and lots of of it. Which means next week I’ll be editing, composites and VFX.

I had to cut out the ceiling under the armor plating with the name ” Galactica” to accommodate the wiring and strip lighting. Replaced the LED that lights the name with a brighter one. Tomorrow I’ll close this bay up and start on the other. Lots of light leaks and light blocking to do but the hard part is done.
Also checked out my WW1 R Class submarine to make sure everything is functioning correctly before the regatta next month. The Nautilus is next.
All the Spock ears and shadow boxes were packed today and will be shipped tomorrow. It was a busy day.

episode 31 – BSG
More on the Battle Star
Spent a lot of the day installing the lighting on the BSG. Got all the engine lighting in and some of the windows. But its all in place. Hard one will be, or at least I’m going to try is to install the flight deck lights on the runway. I’ll have to hog out the floor, place some strip lighting in there and cover the floor back over with this styrene and some fiber optics to create the lights. Not sure it will work.
Tomorrow we are shooting more of the movie, The very ending, Next week the big green screen shoot of the ending on the roof. Busy, busy
Good day at the Studio
Got more ears made today. Made some more wearable Nimoy ears. Made up a Marty the Martian head for a gentleman named Charles Babbage who was kind enough to offer to scan it and turn it into a accurate 3D wire frame. He is art director for the studio linked hear:http://www.michaelcurrydesign.com/ Thanks Charles so much for doing this and taking an interest in our film!
Then I drew a bunch of story boards for our film, flagged off that skylight and I think we are now ready to star shooting the end of our movie.
But Mary decided it was time for me to start a modeling project on the side. Hmmm…she picked it and here it is. Yes Kip Hart I am finally building the big Bad Azz Battlestar! Man this is one fantastic kit as it melts together. Everything is so well thought out.
More tomorrow. Yes I’m going to light everything!
Just a rough test
