    WOW…what was that, about 4 days to paint, light, and assemble a Star Trek model. Eat your heart out Simon.

    That’s sweet. I’ve always preferred this to the “flying brick” they wound up with. Too bad they didn’t get to use this design on the show due to the cost of making the full-sized version.

    Looks amazing. Its weird because we have all become so familliar with the shuttlecraft from the series for so long so seeing a model of the original design is quite a treat.

    That’s a superb job, and such quick turnaround! Also, Scott Spicer’s engineering is top notch! I have some of his figures. (Go to http://www.srsprototyping.com/)
    Besides being expensive to construct, the concept shuttle has a streamlined ’50s futuristic look to it that would have come off as “retro” in the ’60s. But back then we didn’t appreciate how cool the retro look is.
