Looks like your Voyager is coming along nicely, makes me wanna dig mine out and get started on it! I know It’s off topic, but I had something I wanted to say. I really love the Big E you built, it brings back a lot of great memories for me. I didn’t get to see Star Trek in its original run, but I got to see it in reruns in the 70’s. I was a kid at the time and the show absolutely captured my imagination. The sight of the Enterprise as it came orbiting around a planet mesmerized me. By moving the coffee table and my dads easy chair into proper alignment with the TV, they became the helm/nav console and captains chair, with the TV being the view screen of course. No one would dare try to change the channel during the show, for fear of being blasted with my trusty exploration set phaser! Kirk, Spock and McCoy were like old friends, with kirk being my hero. I believe Star Trek gave me a great moral example, which I try to live by. I am a fan of all the Trek series, but TOS will always have a special place in my heart. Sorry at this long winded comment, anyway it would be fun to see your Big E in person.

John thanks so much fro your post. I can’t tell you how much I appreciated it. Too bad kids today don’t have Star Trek like we did then. They could use a better moral example then they have now. 😉

I agree with you Steve, kids today have horrendous moral examples, for the most part. This is one of the reasons I introduced my daughter to Star Trek. We watched every episode of TOS together and she really loved it. Now we are in the middle of TNG and she loves it as well! Luckily I have all the Trek series on DVD. I really enjoy watching and discussing the episodes with her.
