Day 10 on the chair

I have wiring and lights to do tomorrow. Start putting foam on the seat parts. Saturday Ted is coming over to help me upholster the seat and that should just about do it.

Got all the paint on today and the rug cut. It’s a bit dark but will do. Arms are stained and clear coated. Made boxes for the panels so they can be removed and support lights. All buttons are glued in place. This is the 10th day so far. Looks like I’ll make my deadline of this Sunday.

Here’s how she looks at the moment. Still the chair sits high on the side. a bit more tweaking there.

The armrests turned out great. I, like many others out there, didn’t notice that the armrests were made of wood on the original series (even though I have a poster of Kirk in his captain’s chair right above this computer). After all of this construction, it seems as if shooting your short film will be the loose, fun part. Great work!

Those arms look great. It’s really shaping up – outstanding.
