HE. P. 1080 anyone??

This plane or jet I scratch built almost 11 years ago. At the time the technology wasn’t up to really flying this Luft 46 WW2 bird very well. But with todays electric jet wonders she is finally ready to test fly next week. This was one of the many plans on the boards by the Germans late in the war that never got built. I found this recently in a plastic garbage bag in my garage. Forgot I even had it and believed it lost. She’s a little beat up from being kicked around but it just adds to the realism of that time. Saucer section all glassed up…

A bit more of the boring. However the top, bottom and rim are all glassed. I trimmed the edge of the top. Sanded down all the putty on the bottom and edge. Now to let it sit for a day and get good and hard before I start pointing it up with Evercoat Metal glaze and sanding, and sanding, and sanding.

Tomorrow I’ll be redoing my home theater while this sets up. Should be back to it on Sunday.

Steve
